CadX Second LookTM Detection
CadX Second Look Computer-Aided Detection is a breakthrough technology that provides an extra level of protection and radiological assistance in the detection of breast cancer. As part of the digital mammography reading process, Second Look gives you the benefits of a second opinion without any additional procedures or doctor's appointments.
Second Look uses a computer to analyze mammograms. It can alert the physician to take a closer look at subtle warning signs that might easily be missed. Your mammogram is scanned into the Second Look system and is analyzed using sophisticated software. A report, called a Mammograph, is printed out which helps to identify potentially cancerous lesions.
The Second Look detection requires that a mammogram be performed. Visit our Digital Mammography page for more information on mammograms, preparation, results, and HVRA locations offering mammograms.
Please note: Although most health insurance plans cover CadX, some do not. Please consult either your insurance plan or our office to determine your level of coverage.
