WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY

HVRA is extremely convenient in terms of location and proximity to my own doctors. HVRA’s location on Grove Street means that I can not only avoid the traffic of Route 7, but my doctor and my kids’ pediatrician are in the same building. With kids involved in bikes and skateboards, we’ve had the occasion to require X-rays. HVRA has been very accommodating, often seeing us within 20-30 minutes right after my regular doctor, rather than having to make an appointment for a different day. The staff is also extremely friendly and personable, which makes all the difference. They take the time to explain everything, and that really helps to relax and make the experience an even positive one.

Laila RudinasMy doctor recommended breast MRI once a year along with a mammogram to monitor my breast health, having had breast cancer 8 years ago. HVRA made sure my first breast MRI experience was a positive one. The nurse and technologist were super about explaining everything before we started. The exam itself was comfortable, as all I had to do was lay still. The technologist explained to me over the speaker our progress throughout the exam and made sure I was doing ok, which made me feel that I was well taken care of.

For people who live in Ridgefield, it is very convenient to have a full service radiology office in town. I was able to walk to HVRA right from my doctor’s office. Everyone at HVRA was polite, friendly and accommodating, which made for a very good experience. I was amazed that the results of my x-ray came back the same day so there was no waiting, which is very important to me.

Your staff was great. This was my first MRI. The technologist was supportive and professional, and the front desk person was also top notch."

"Dear Elsie, Jeri, Gail & Kathy,
I first met you all in December when Dr. Gilmore found a lump on my breast during a routine checkup, and rushed me over to Housatonic Valley Radiology for my first mammogram and ultrasound. Kathy took such great care of my parents, not letting on to anything, as per my request. Jeri was so caring and gentle, trying to ease my anxiousness, as was Gail when I had to go back in for yet another mammogram, per Dr. Ehrlich’s request." continue…

Patricia Lowe "Even prior to my having breast cancer, I always went to HVRA for my mammographies and ultrasounds. It's the first medical organization I'd ever experienced that went out of its way to make the experience so comfortable in terms of the relaxed atmosphere and the considerate staff. Getting a mammography or other diagnostic exam can be a daunting, stressful experience, since you're either going in for an exam, or getting the results of that exam. But it is clear that HVRA honors the person, by alleviating the stress with its friendly, family-like surroundings rather than a hospital type of setting." continue…

Patricia A. Wilkes "When I walked through the doors of HVRA of Southbury for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist greeted me as soon as I entered, and immediately I felt at ease. It was not the typical office and waiting area. The reception-waiting area was a large, tastefully decorated room with soft lighting, comfortable chairs, and current magazines. The consideration and kindness of the entire staff at HVRA helps make a mammogram a pleasurable experience."
"I was impressed by Dr. Conrad Ehrlich's fast response, as I had my mammogram on a Friday and the office called me on Monday for a follow-up visit, and abnormalities had shown up in the results. Dr. Ehrlich took the time to review and explain my films to me so that I could fully understand my particular condition. I truly believe that Dr. Ehrlich's dedication to his work saved my life. continue…"

Nikki Foster "I must tell you how reassuring and lovely the offices are. One feels personal attention went into caring for women. It's a place to go care for yourself, to a secure and pleasant environment… HVRA's skills of diagnosis and knowledge are priceless to us-even life saving!"
Nikki Foster, cancer survivor, Danbury, CT
"I couldn't compliment Gary [MRI technologist] any more than I'm doing now. He was so kind, considerate and showed so much compassion for a senior citizen who could not complete the last MRI I attempted a year ago. What a difference compassion plays in a procedure such as this. I got through with flying colors. Thank you, Gary!"
Irene, Ridgefield, CT
