HVRA Teams Up with Yale Diagnostic Radiologists to Enhance Subspecialty Expertise
April 19, 2010
Housatonic Valley Radiological Associates (HVRA) is now working with Yale University School of Medicine’s Department of Diagnostic Radiology and its subspecialty trained diagnostic radiologists.
As diagnostic imaging has evolved and become more complex, the need for greater subspecialty knowledge has increased. With Yale’s subspecialty radiologists on its staff, HVRA will be able to provide a level of expertise usually found only at large tertiary referral centers. These radiologists have expertise in all of the various radiological subspecialties, including neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, and oncologic imaging.
Since Yale Diagnostic Radiology (YDR) is integrated with HVRA’s Picture Archive Computerized System (PACS), the radiologists will be able to provide near real-time interpretations and consultations to HVRA’s referring physicians. In addition, YDR’s Dr. Andrew Haimes will be providing on-site procedures at HVRA, including arthrography for MRI/CT and therapeutic joint injections under fluoroscopic guidance.
These are some of the radiologists with whom HVRA will be working:
Musculoskeletal
Neuroradiology
Abdominal Imaging
